1963 Ferrari 250 GTO

Chassis 4757GT

The Ferrari 250 GTO is widely regarded as the most coveted Ferrari of all time, embodying the pinnacle of Ferrari’s philosophy: a perfect blend of performance, style, and engineering. Designed by a team led by Giotto Bizzarrini, the GTO’s sleek lines were born from wind tunnel research, a rarity for its era. Its charisma is rooted not only in its countless racing victories—including the 1962, 1963, and 1964 Manufacturers’ Championships—but also in its stunning looks, its competitive spirit, and its formidable V12 engine.

With only 36 Ferrari 250 GTOs ever built, all of which still exist, the model is a true automotive legend. Chassis 4757GT, part of the famed Carrozzeria Sports Team, raced in the 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by Fernand Tavano and Carlo Mario Abate. It also competed in the 1963 and 1964 Tour de France, along with numerous other international races, further cementing its place in racing history.

Tom Price, having first purchased a GTO in 1983, traded for chassis 4757 GT in 2009, and the car has since become a centerpiece of his collection. Over the years, Tom has raced a GTO in over 200 events—believed to be more than any other driver in history. His victories include two Ferrari Historic Disc Brake Class Challenge Championships. Tom and Gwen have also participated in seven GTO Anniversary Rallies, including the prestigious Louis Vuitton Classic Serenissima Run from Monaco to Venice, continuing to celebrate the GTO’s legacy both on the track and on the road.
